There were 8 attendees present at the meeting Treasurer Report Status In February the treasury was $1470.00. In March the treasury was at $1212.00 Membership We obtained 5 new members in March. Indoor Gym Flying Sessions Craig gave a report that the indoor gym flying still continues to be successful and we have been getting new members each month. All the MRCHA members continue to help new pilots with their set-ups and flying skills. Future Meeting Topics Hal asked those present what topics they would want to hear about in future meetings. Several members gave their ideas and Hal will see that some of the subjects will be presented at upcoming meetings. Two topics for next meeting are: 1. Swashplate Setup 2. View Helicopter Videos on Party Room Big Screen Freeze Fly Held In February Hal talked about the success of the 2009 Freeze Fly that he and his wife hosted at their home on Prior Lake. Fuel Order for 2009 Hal discussed the 3 fuel order options. Members can on their own order fuel from these 3 local RC hobby stores. King Kong Hobby, Big Sky Hobby, & Hobbytown. Please see the MRCHA site for details on ordering from each of the hobby stores. Talk and Presentation Hal gave this month's talk on crashes and how to avoid them. He used Larry Sorenson's notes from the talk Larry gave in 2008 on his experiences on crashes and Hal talked about his own experiences and how to avoid them. This was a very worthwhile subject pretaining to sunny or cloudy days, early morning, afternoon, and evening flying, what colors to paint your canopy. Mechanical,Radio, and pilot error, etc. on how to avoid crashing.
