July MRCHA Meeting Minutes - 7/1/2008

Meeting was held at the Craig's Rees Party Room after flying at PO Field.

OFFICER REPORTS

Membership and Treasury - Hal Roberts

Membership
The total membership for 2008 stands at 40 as of July 1st.

Treasury
The only change in treasury was a $80 payment to Brian Reinstra for the Fun Fly food and three memberships (RRO funds are separate from MRCHA treasury). Treasury stands at $1533.84.

Registration Page - The 2008 registration page is open for business!

Tee Shirts (free with RRO registration!)

We had to come up with an estimate of the number of tee shirts needed. The number 110 was settled on with various sizes as follows, M-10, L-20, XL-30, XXL-30, XXXL-20.

Posters

The RRO poster artwork is complete and on the website. Craig Rees volunteered to get a quote for RRO flyers in 8.5x11 pads of 30 for the hobby shops.

Sponsors

So far we have Castle Creations (Justin contacted), Sky Hobbies (Craig contacted, gift certificates), King Kong (Larry contacted Doug Lewis who is interested).

One suggestion: We tell sponsers we will have links to their websites on our website for one year for sponsoring.
Contract has been signed by the Owatonna R/C Modelers, this allowed them to contract with the food service so that is settled.

NEW BUSINESS

Promotion

We now have a Welcome Kit containing:

• MRCHA Promotional Materials, like business cards and kit stickers.
• Membership Roster
• List of Volunteer Mentors (to help setup and flying). We need to identify these people from our club.
• MRCHA Bylaws
• Heli Resources (Local Hobby Shops, Web Resources).

Late News! Todd Bennett will be at the Ring Out teaching his 3D flying school.
